10 California Üniversitesi kampüsünde yer alan 100'den fazla kütüphane, üniversitenin araştırma, eğitim, hasta bakımı ve kamu hizmeti görevlerini desteklemektedir. Bu kuruluşlar toplu olarak dünyanın en büyük araştırma/akademik kütüphanesini oluşturur ve California Dijital Kütüphane ile birlikte, teknolojiden yararlanarak yeni ve yenilikçi bilimsel iletişim biçimlerini desteklemekte liderlik rolü üstlenmiştir.
