This release includes the General Availability (GA) release of the Maps Datasets API.
See the Release Notes for information about this release and all other releases. If you are a new user, see Set Up your Google Cloud project to start the installation process.
The fetchDatasetErrors
API is now available. This API returns all errors associated with a failed dataset upload.
For more information and usage, see Get data upload errors.
The maximum supported file size for upload has been increased from 350 MB to 500 MB. For more information, see Create a dataset.

This release of the Maps Datasets API adds support for dataset versions. In previous releases, you could only upload data to a dataset once. Now you can upload new data to a dataset to create a new version of the dataset.

The initial Preview release of the Maps Datasets API included endpoint URLs that contained /v1alpha
. Those endpoints have been removed. You must use the endpoint URLs that contain /v1
for API calls.
For information on migrating your apps, see Migrate from the previous Preview release.

This release changed the endpoint URL for API calls to use /v1
instead of /v1alpha
. The previous endpoints were in the form:
https://mapsplatformdatasets.googleapis.com/v1alpha/projects
The new endpoints are in the form:
https://mapsplatformdatasets.googleapis.com/v1/projects
