Air Quality API 小工具在實驗性版本中推出

Google's Air Quality (AQ) API allows developers to raise awareness about air quality and empower people to protect their health in their own apps and websites. To make it even easier to show air quality information in websites, we are providing the Air Quality Meter Element in the Maps JavaScript API. This widget can be used in any context that the developer chooses and some example use cases include:

  • Public pools and parks can show current air quality to potential visitors.

  • Retailers can highlight the air quality around their store’s neighborhood to show the desirable walkability 

  • Real estate websites can show the air quality around a listed property to boost buyers' interest

Geocoding API 現在提供建築物外框、入口等資訊！

The Geocoding API now provides hyperlocal data such as building outlines, building entrances and navigation points at no extra cost in the experimental phase. These new features improve user orientation by providing more contextual information to help find your way to complex destinations easier. Some potential use cases include:

  • A ridehailing passenger can be shown a map of pick-up points in a large shopping mall (using navigation points) to select one from

  • A delivery driver can be navigated to the right building entrance for delivery pick-up in a mall and drop-off in a residential apartment

  • A delivery customer can be shown a map that visually highlights the building that they are getting a parcel delivered to.

On March 1st we launched a set of updates aimed at making it easier to build with more Google Maps Platform services. Among the changes are a move to a free monthly usage threshold with up to 10,000 free calls per SKU. You can now select APIs across three new product categories depending on the level of customization and features you need. You have access to 10K free calls per SKU per month for Essentials, 5K free calls per SKU per month for Pro and 1K free calls per SKU per month for Enterprise. Road level details have been available in consumer Google Maps since early 2020 and are now available in Google Maps Platform products. These features provide highly accurate road-level road level details around the world with road shapes, cross-walks, sidewalks, special-use lanes (bike, transit and HOV lanes), lane markings, with availability varying by region.
