How does it work?
The Asset Tracking Plan uses an asset-based pricing model:
- You subscribe to a specific pricing tier based on your bucket of active assets.
- You pay a fixed monthly price for the Asset Tracking license.
- Your project is granted a set number of included monthly API service calls and elements per each included APIs.
- You pay defined overage prices for usage that exceeds your monthly quota.
Quota limits and uplifts
The plan you subscribe to defines your quota limits. To verify the limits eligible for your project, refer to the "Maps Asset Tracking Subscription Plan Tiers" section of your contract and the table outlining your included quota limits.
Use the following options to manage your project's limits:
- Quota Allocation: During the initial setup of your project, Google provisions the included quota on select APIs by default. If you need this quota uplift to be added to any other APIs covered by the Asset Tracking Plan, contact technical support.
- Upgrades: If you need more quota, contact your account manager to arrange moving to a higher subscription tier.
- Urgent Requests: For any urgent or temporary quota uplift requests, contact technical support.
How to sign up for the Asset Tracking Plan
This plan is designed for enterprise fleet operators and fleet management software providers who manage at least 20,000 active assets to be eligible for standard pricing tiers. To get started, contact sales to verify your use case and fleet size. A representative will guide you through the qualification process, which includes a required C-level company attestation and contract setup.
