Method: accounts.create

  • Creates a new account with a specified name and type under a parent account, excluding Personal and Organization account types.

  • User Groups cannot have Personal accounts as primary owners, and Location Groups have ownership restrictions based on the primary owner's account type.

  • The request utilizes an HTTP POST method to the specified URL with the account details provided in the request body as an 'Account' instance.

  • Successful requests will return the newly created account details in the response body, also formatted as an 'Account' instance.

  • Authorization requires the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/business.manage OAuth scope.

Creates an account with the specified name and type under the given parent.

  • Personal accounts and Organizations cannot be created.
  • User Groups cannot be created with a Personal account as primary owner.
  • Location Groups cannot be created with a primary owner of a Personal account if the Personal account is in an Organization.
  • Location Groups cannot own Location Groups.

The URL uses gRPC Transcoding syntax.

Request body

The request body contains an instance of Account.

Response body

If successful, the response body contains a newly created instance of Account.
