This release includes the General Availability (GA) release of the Maps Datasets API.

Feature

The fetchDatasetErrors API is now available. This API returns all errors associated with a failed dataset upload.

Change

The maximum supported file size for upload has been increased from 350 MB to 500 MB. For more information, see Create a dataset.

This release of the Maps Datasets API adds support for dataset versions. In previous releases, you could only upload data to a dataset once. Now you can upload new data to a dataset to create a new version of the dataset.

Breaking

The initial Preview release of the Maps Datasets API included endpoint URLs that contained /v1alpha. Those endpoints have been removed. You must use the endpoint URLs that contain /v1 for API calls.

This release changed the endpoint URL for API calls to use /v1 instead of /v1alpha. The previous endpoints were in the form:

https://mapsplatformdatasets.googleapis.com/v1alpha/projects

The new endpoints are in the form:

https://mapsplatformdatasets.googleapis.com/v1/projects
