Method: properties.insert

Adds a property to a file, or updates it if it already exists.

HTTP request

POST https://www.googleapis.com/drive/v2/files/{fileId}/properties

The URL uses gRPC Transcoding syntax.

Path parameters

Parameters
fileId

string

The ID of the file.

Request body

The request body contains an instance of Property.

Response body

If successful, the response body contains a newly created instance of Property.

Authorization scopes

Requires one of the following OAuth scopes:

  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/docs
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.appdata
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.metadata
