משאב קורס מייצג כיתה, כמו 'מתמטיקה 127', ואת המורים שהוקצו לה, רשימת התלמידים והמטא-נתונים שלה.

כל קורס מזוהה באמצעות מזהה ייחודי שהוקצה על ידי השרת. בנוסף, אפשר לשייך שמות לקורס במקום המזהה הייחודי. כל שם, שנקרא כינוי, קיים במרחב שמות שמגביל את היכולת ליצור אותו ולצפות בו.

יש תמיכה בשני מרחבי שמות:

  • דומיין: מרחב השמות של הדומיין שימושי ליצירת כתובות חלופיות שכל המשתמשים צריכים גישה אליהן, אבל הן לא ספציפיות לתוכנית אחת. לדוגמה, צריך ליצור רשימות חלופיות של קורס, כמו MATH 127 ו-COMSCI 127, במרחב השמות של הדומיין. רק אדמינים בדומיין יכולים ליצור כינויים במרחב השמות של הדומיין, אבל הם גלויים לכל המשתמשים בדומיין.

כשיוצרים קורס, אפשר להוסיף מטא-נתונים כמו תיאור הקורס, השעה או המיקום שלו.

כדי ליצור קורס, למשתמש ששולח את הבקשה צריכות להיות ההרשאות המתאימות בפרופיל המשתמש שלו.

כברירת מחדל, courseState מוגדר כ-PROVISIONED בקורסים שנוצרים. עם זאת, אפשר לשנות את ההגדרה הזו ל-ACTIVE. אם הקורס נוצר במצב PROVISIONED, המורה שצוין ב-ownerId צריך לאשר את הכיתה בממשק המשתמש של Classroom, או לעדכן את הקורס דרך ה-API כדי לשנות את הערך של courseState ל-ACTIVE ולהפוך אותו לזמין לתלמידים.

עדכון פרטי הקורס

אחרי שיוצרים את הקורס, אפשר לעדכן מטא-נתונים מסוימים. אפשר לעדכן את השדות הבאים בכל שלב אחרי יצירת הקורס:

  • name
  • section
  • descriptionHeading
  • description
  • room
  • courseState
  • ownerId

העברת הבעלות על קורס

אדמינים בדומיין יכולים להעביר בעלות על קורסים בין מורים בדומיין שלהם באמצעות הקריאה ל-methods הבאים:

  1. קודם כול, צריך להקיש על teachers.create() כדי להוסיף מורה לקורס, אם הוא עדיין לא מוגדר כמורה עמית.

  2. לאחר מכן, קוראים ל-courses.patch() ומציינים את כתובת האימייל או את מזהה המשתמש של המורה העמית/ה בשדה ownerId באובייקט הבקשה, כדי לעדכן את הבעלים של הקורס.
