Structured Data - v3.1 - YouTube Ad Group

  • This version of the SDF is sunset and users should migrate to SDF v7.1.

  • This documentation should only be used for referring to previously-generated files.

  • The table lists various fields for ad groups including ID, name, status, video ad format, max cost per view, and various targeting options.

  • Ad Group ID is required only when editing existing ad groups, while Line Item ID, Name, Status, Video Ad Format, and Max Cost Per View are always required.

  • Targeting options include keywords, categories, YouTube channels and videos, URLs, apps, demographics (gender, age, parental status), audiences, affinity/in-market audiences, and custom affinity.

Optionally, when creating new Ad Groups, you can use a custom identifier for the purpose of assigning TrueView Ads to the new Ad Group. The format for a custom identifier is "ext[custom identifier]", for example, ext123. When the file is uploaded and processed, all custom identifiers will be replaced with DBM-assigned IDs and the objects will be associated (for example, Ad to Ad Group) based on the custom identifiers.
