Sitemaps de News
Si eres editor de prensa, puedes usar sitemaps de News para informar a Google sobre tus artículos e información adicional sobre ellos. Puedes ampliar un sitemap que ya tengas con etiquetas específicas de noticias, o bien crear un sitemap de News independiente que esté reservado solo para los artículos de noticias.
Cualquiera de las opciones son válidas para Google, aunque crear un sitemap específico para tus artículos de noticias puede mejorar el seguimiento de tu contenido en la Búsqueda a través de Search Console.
Actualiza el sitemap de News con artículos nuevos a medida que se vayan publicando. No crees un sitemap con cada actualización. Google News rastrea sitemaps de News con la misma frecuencia con la que rastrea el resto de tu sitio.
Incluye únicamente las URLs recientes de los artículos creados en los últimos dos días. Cuando los artículos tengan más de dos días de antigüedad, retira esas URLs del sitemap de News o quita los metadatos <news:news> de tu sitemap de las URLs más antiguas.
Si eliges el método que permite retirar las URLs antiguas de tu sitemap de News, puede que esté vacío durante un tiempo (por ejemplo, si no has publicado artículos en los últimos días). Puede que veas una advertencia de sitemap vacío en Search Console, pero solo aparecerá para asegurar que ha sido de forma intencional. Si el archivo está vacío, no ocasionará ningún problema relacionado con la Búsqueda de Google.
Ejemplo de sitemap de News
En el siguiente ejemplo se muestra un sitemap normal con una extensión de noticias. Debe contener una etiqueta <url> y una etiqueta <news:news> única con sus etiquetas secundarias obligatorias:

Para que Google pueda usar tu sitemap de News, debes usar las siguientes etiquetas obligatorias:

<news:news>
La etiqueta superior de las demás etiquetas del espacio de nombres news:. Cada etiqueta de sitemap url solo puede tener una etiqueta news:news (además de la etiqueta de cierre correspondiente), y los sitemaps pueden tener hasta 1000 etiquetas news:news. Si hay más de 1000 etiquetas <news:news> en un sitemap de News, divídelo en varios más pequeños.
<news:publication>
La etiqueta superior de las etiquetas <news:name> y <news:language>. Cada etiqueta superior de <news:news> solo puede tener una etiqueta <news:publication>.
<news:name>
La etiqueta <news:name> indica el nombre de la publicación, que debe coincidir exactamente con el nombre que figura en los artículos de news.google.com, a excepción del texto que haya entre paréntesis.
<news:language>
Con la etiqueta <news:language> se especifica el idioma de la publicación. Para representarlo, utiliza un código de idioma ISO 639 de dos o tres letras.
Excepción: El chino simplificado se indica con zh-cn y el chino tradicional se representa con zh-tw.
<news:publication_date>
Es la fecha de publicación del artículo, expresada en formato W3C. Utiliza el formato de fecha completa (YYYY-MM-DD) o el formato de fecha completa con horas, minutos y segundos, y el código de la zona horaria (YYYY-MM-DDThh:mm:ssTZD). Indica la fecha y hora en que se publicó por primera vez el artículo en tu sitio, no la fecha y hora en que se añadió el artículo al sitemap.
Google acepta cualquiera de los siguientes formatos:

Fecha completa con hora y minuto: YYYY-MM-DDThh:mmTZD (1997-07-16T19:20+01:00)
