If you instead want to advertise your vehicles on Google, see [Vehicle Ads](https://support.google.com/merchants/topic/15174524).\n\nThe feed is the central data source that Google uses to access and display your\nvehicles. We currently support feeds in the\n[CSV file format](https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc4180),\nwhich you can optionally compress with the ZIP or GZ formats.\n\nCreate a feed\n-------------\n\nTo format your information for the vehicle listings service, use the format\ndescribed in [Feed format](#feed-format), the attributes provided in\n[Feed specification](/vehicle-listings/reference/feed-specification), and our\n[example feed](#example-feed). We recommend that you start with a few test\nvehicles and submit a sample CSV file to the\n[validation tool](https://www.google.com/local/cars/tools/feed-validation) to\nvalidate your feed format. You can later scale to include all of your inventory\non Google.\n\nBe sure to include the following details in the feed so that we can accurately\nmatch vehicles with car dealerships on Google:\n\n- **Required:** Store code\n - For details, see [Dealership\n matching](/vehicle-listings/integration-process/dealer-matching).\n- **Required:** Dealership name and postal address\n- **Recommended:** Google Place ID or Maps URL\n - These uniquely identify the dealership's Business Profile on Google and remove any ambiguity compared to matches that use the name and postal address.\n\n### Feed format\n\nUpload your feed as either a Comma-Separated Values (CSV) or Tab-Separated\nValues (TSV) file. Make sure your file meets the following requirements:\n\n- The CSV format must conform to [RFC 4180](https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc4180):\n - Don't include double quotes anywhere in the file unless they're escaped.\n - To escape a double quote, use two double quotes and additionally enclose the entire CSV field in double quotes. For more details, see sections 2.5-2.7 in [RFC 4180](https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc4180).\n - An example of a valid use of double quotes is `\"Wheels 17\"\" Alloy\"`, which displays as `Wheels 17\" Alloy`.\n- You can optionally compress the file with the ZIP or GZ file formats.\n- The feed must contain a single file. We don't support the use of multiple file fragments, also called sharding.\n- Every feed version must contain the entire inventory for all dealerships you want to show on Google. Because each feed file contains inventory for all your dealerships, you don't need to create separate accounts for each dealership. Once the feed is successfully processed, the vehicles will be grouped by dealership in the diagnostics page of the partner portal.\n- We don't support partial (incremental) inventory updates.\n\n### Example feed\n\nThe following example CSV feed can be used as a template for your feeds: \n\n store_code,id,VIN,year,make,model,trim,exterior_color,interior_color,mileage,condition,price,dealership_name,dealership_address,link,image_link,additional_image_link,vehicle_option,vehicle_fulfillment,legal_disclaimer\n 123,123,JA4AR3AW8GZ057772,2016,Mitsubishi,Outlander Sport,SE,Silver,Black,90377,Used,13998 USD,Dealer 123,123 Street,http://www.example.com/JA4AR3AW8GZ057772,http://www.image.com/image1,\"http://www.image.com/image2, http://www.image.com/image3\",\"Bluetooth,Rear View Camera,Front Seat Heaters,Navigation System\",IN_STORE,\"Price does not include taxes, fees\"\n\nUpload the feed to your SFTP dropbox\n------------------------------------\n\nWhen you sign up for your vehicle listings account, an SFTP dropbox is\nautomatically created. Use the SFTP information provided on the **Feed** page of\nthe partner portal to upload your CSV files.\n\nThere are many methods to\n[upload a file with SFTP](https://www.google.com/search?q=upload+to+sftp). The\nmost common ways are using the command line (Terminal), or using an\n[SFTP program](https://www.google.com/search?q=SFTP+clients). Which method\nworks best for you depends on how you manage your inventory. As such, we don't\ngive specific instructions here on how to export and upload your vehicles to\nthe Google SFTP server.\n\nTo minimize delays from how Google processes your feed, we recommend that you do\nthe following:\n\n- Ensure that your feed passes our [validation tool](https://www.google.com/local/cars/tools/feed-validation).\n- Verify that your vehicle data conforms to the [feed specification](/vehicle-listings/reference/feed-specification) and our [policies and restrictions](/vehicle-listings/reference/policy).\n- Submit the feed at least once every day.\n- Upload the entire inventory for each dealership you want to show on Google.\n\nReview feed processing results\n------------------------------\n\nAfter you submit the feed, you can review the results of the processing. The\n**Feed** page on the partner portal shows the status of each feed upload. This\nonly checks for basic file and data issues, such as missing required fields or\nincorrect formatting. The full results of processing become available on the\n**Diagnostics** page after a few hours.\n| **Note:** If you are uploading your feed for the first time or after a long gap (e.g. more than 3 days), expect a delay of about 24-48 hours for the vehicles to appear on your Google Business profile.\n\nMaintain your feed\n------------------\n\nWe recommend that you upload the latest version of the feed every four hours.\nThere are two main reasons why we recommend that you refresh the feed this\noften:\n\n- More frequent feed uploads increase the overall data freshness. This reduces the time between when the inventory updates and when the data is delivered to Google.\n- Frequent updates allow for faster detection of and recovery from outages that could cause a feed to not be successfully processed.\n\nEvery time you upload the feed, be sure it contains the entire inventory for all\ndealerships. Vehicles and dealerships that aren't present in a feed are removed\nfrom Google within a few hours.\n| **Note:** If a feed upload would reduce the total inventory by more than 30% compared to the previous version, a safety mechanism prevents this feed version from being processed. You can adjust when this safety feature triggers in the **Feed** page of the partner portal.\n\nAfter you upload a feed to Google, the time it takes for the data to update\ndepends on the type of update. The numbers in the following table are estimates\nand not guaranteed.\n| **Note:** The partner portal updates several hours faster than the data on Google. If the inventory status on the portal doesn't reflect the content on Google, make sure you allow enough time for the data to update.\n\n| Feed change | Expected update time on Google |\n|----------------------------------------------|--------------------------------|\n| Add a new dealership | 1 day |\n| Remove a dealership | 6 hours |\n| Change the Business Profile for a dealership | 12 hours |\n| Add, remove, or update a car | 6 hours |\n\nSubscribe to feed alerts\n------------------------\n\nYou can receive an email notification when Google either hasn't received a feed,\nor the feed wasn't successfully processed for more than 24 hours. Go to the\n**Account** page on the partner portal and add a new contact email you wish to\nreceive these feed alerts.\n| **Warning:** Your vehicles stop showing to users after three days from the time Google last received and successfully processed the feed. Please resolve feed issues as soon as possible to keep showing vehicles to users."]]
