חלק ממבני הסכימה שבהם משתמשים ב-Gmail שונים מאוצר המילים הרגיל של schema.org. Google עבדה עם קהילת schema.org כדי ליצור סטנדרטיזציה של סכימות שקשורות לאימייל, כך שגם שירותי אימייל ותוכנות אימייל אחרים יוכלו להפיק מהן תועלת מלאה.
הם גם שולבו באופן עמוק עם שיפורים רבים אחרים ב-schema.org.
