OpenLandMap Clay Content

  • This dataset provides global clay content in % (kg/kg) at six standard depths (0, 10, 30, 60, 100, and 200 cm) at a 250m resolution.

  • The data is based on machine learning predictions using a global compilation of soil profiles and samples and covers the period from 1950 to 2018.

  • There are six bands in the dataset, each representing the clay content at a specific depth, with values ranging from 2% to 100%.

  • The dataset is available under the CC-BY-SA-4.0 license and can be accessed and explored using Google Earth Engine.

  • Technical issues and general questions can be directed to the provided GitLab issues page and Disqus forum respectively.

Description

Clay content in % (kg / kg) at 6 standard depths (0, 10, 30, 60, 100 and 200 cm) at 250 m resolution

Based on machine learning predictions from global compilation of soil profiles and samples. Processing steps are described in detail here. Antarctica is not included.
