Une orthophoto est une combinaison de plusieurs photos aériennes individuelles. L'ensemble de données de photos aériennes au format orthophoto est disponible en tant qu'ensemble de données le plus récent, qui comprend les photos aériennes les plus récentes disponibles. Les données les plus récentes datent généralement de 1 à 3 ans. Les orthophotos NLS sont mises à jour tous les trois ans (12 ans en Laponie du Nord).
Dans ces images, les bandes sont le proche infrarouge, le rouge et le vert.
