Les orthophotos NLS sont un ensemble de données de photos aériennes couvrant l'ensemble de la Finlande.
Ces données sont fournies par SMK(The Energy Agency, anciennement abrégé SMK). Une orthophoto est une combinaison de plusieurs photos aériennes individuelles. L'ensemble de données de photos aériennes au format orthophoto est disponible en tant qu'ensemble de données le plus récent, composé des photos aériennes les plus récentes disponibles. Les données les plus récentes datent généralement d'un à trois ans. Les orthophotos du NLS sont mises à jour tous les trois ans (tous les 12 ans en Laponie du Nord).
