Cet ensemble de données contient les intensités annuelles, estivales et hivernales de l'îlot de chaleur urbain de surface (SUHI) pour le jour et la nuit pour plus de 10 000 agglomérations urbaines dans le monde. L'ensemble de données a été créé à l'aide des produits MODIS 8-day TERRA et AQUA sur la température de surface terrestre (LST), de la base de données Landscan sur l'étendue urbaine, des données mondiales d'élévation du terrain multi-résolution 2010 et des données sur la couverture terrestre de l'initiative sur le changement climatique (CCI) de l'Agence spatiale européenne (ESA) à l'aide de l'algorithme simplifié d'étendue urbaine. Le produit est disponible au niveau des pixels (à une résolution de 300 m après réduction) et sous forme de moyennes de zones urbaines de 2003 à 2018. Les composites mensuels ne sont disponibles que sous forme de moyennes de clusters urbains.
L'ensemble de données est divisé en six composants :
UHI_all_averaged: : image contenant l'intensité SUHI composite moyenne des clusters pour le jour et la nuit, pour l'année, l'été et l'hiver.
UHI_monthly_averaged: : image contenant des composites mensuels moyens au niveau du cluster de l'intensité de l'UHIS de jour et de nuit.
UHI_yearly_averaged: : collection d'images de composites annuels moyens au niveau des clusters de l'intensité de l'UHIS de jour et de nuit de 2003 à 2018.
UHI_yearly_pixel: : collection d'images de l'intensité annuelle de l'îlot de chaleur urbain (SUHI, Surface Urban Heat Island) de jour et de nuit, désagrégée spatialement (échelle nominale de 300 mètres), de 2003 à 2018.
Summer_UHI_yearly_pixel: : collection d'images de l'intensité de l'îlot de chaleur urbain (ICU) estival de jour et de nuit, désagrégée spatialement (échelle nominale de 300 m), de 2003 à 2018.
Winter_UHI_yearly_pixel: : collection d'images de l'intensité de l'îlot de chaleur urbain (ICU) en hiver, le jour et la nuit, de 2003 à 2018, avec une échelle nominale de 300 mètres.
