Die umgekehrte Geocodierung bezieht sich auf die Umwandlung geografischer Koordinaten eines Standorts in eine visuell lesbare Adresse. Das Maps SDK for iOS enthält die Klasse GMSGeocoder, die die Memberfunktion reverseGeocodeCoordinate enthält, mit der Sie die Konvertierung durchführen können. Diese Methode verwendet Standortkoordinaten in einer Instanz eines CLLocationCoordinate2D-Objekts und gibt eine für Menschen lesbare Straßenadresse in einer Instanz der Klasse GMSAddress zurück.

Der Geocoder ist für die Bereitstellung von lesbaren Adressen optimiert. Dazu werden Straßenadressen in der lokalen Sprache zurückgegeben, die bei Bedarf in für den Nutzer lesbaren Text transliteriert werden. Alle anderen Adressen werden in der bevorzugten Sprache zurückgegeben.
Adresskomponenten werden in derselben Sprache zurückgegeben, die anhand der ersten Komponente ausgewählt wird.
Wenn ein Name in der bevorzugten Sprache nicht verfügbar ist, wird die nächstgelegene Übereinstimmung verwendet.
Garantien in Bezug auf Adresskomponenten
Google übernimmt keine Garantie für Adresskomponenten. Die Adressstruktur ändert sich von Land zu Land und sogar innerhalb von Ländern.
Adresskomponenten enthalten nur das, was für Postadressen relevant ist, und wenig mehr.
Insbesondere ist locality nicht immer vorhanden und soll auch nicht immer die city darstellen.
