En esta página se describe la utilidad del quadtree disponible en el
biblioteca de utilidades
para el SDK de Maps para iOS.
Un quadtree es una estructura de datos útil para encontrar puntos cerca de un solo
buscando en el área que rodea el lugar de interés.
Con un quadtree, puedes buscar eficazmente puntos dentro de un rango 2D,
donde esos puntos se definen como coordenadas de latitud y longitud o cartesianas (x, y)
coordenadas. El quadtree almacena buckets de coordenadas en nodos e índices
por región (cuadro de límite). Para encontrar un par de coordenadas determinado, debes recorrer
a través de los nodos del quadtree.
