Partner Integration Guide for Google's Find Hub Network

This guide outlines the necessary steps for our partners to successfully integrate Google's Find Hub network. We are excited to work with you to bring this valuable functionality to our mutual customers.

Step 0: Review Find Hub Network Accessory Specification

Before beginning the integration process, it is essential that your technical teams thoroughly review the Find Hub Network Accessory Specification and Location Tag Requirements. Please note that Google does not provide a specific SDK or API for this integration. We advise you to consult with your System on a Chip (SoC) vendor or your System Integrator (SI) regarding firmware availability and implementation.

Step 1: Submit a Device Proposal for Approval

The first formal step is to submit a proposal for your device to be approved for the network.

  • For location tags and other embedded devices, please complete and submit this form.
  • For headphones (both TWS and over-the-ear models), please use this form. Headphone integration will follow the standard Fast Pair integration process.

To ensure the most efficient processing time, we strongly recommend engaging with a Google-approved System Integrator. Projects where “Google” or “other” is selected as the system integrator will be processed based on our team's availability.

All partners who are developing and distributing accessories compatible with the Find Hub network are required to execute a Developmental Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and agree to our Terms of Service (ToS). Information on how to sign these agreements will be provided upon device approval.

Step 3: Complete Partner Onboarding

Upon the successful completion of the legal agreements, you will be guided through our partner onboarding process. This will grant you access to our comprehensive integration documentation, testing tools, and other critical resources.

Step 4: Complete Firmware Integration and Self-Tests

Working in collaboration with your SI or SoC partner, you will then proceed with the firmware integration. It is imperative that you conduct thorough self-testing to ensure your device is in full compliance with Find Hub’s Certification Guidelines (allow list access required) before submitting your device to the third-party lab.

Step 5: Submit Marketing Assets to Google for Approval

Any marketing assets that will use the "Works with Google's Find Hub" badge or otherwise mention "Find Hub" must be submitted to Google for review and approval. All assets must adhere to the Find Hub’s Marketing Guidelines. You can view Find Hub Marketing Guidelines and Submit assets through our Partner Marketing Hub (allow list access required). Upon approval, you will be issued a Partner Marketing Hub asset ID.

Step 6: Submit Your Device to a Third-Party Lab for Certification

Once your device has successfully passed all self-tests, you will need to submit it to a designated third-party lab (3PL) for official certification. Please provide the lab with your completed certification readiness checklist and coordinate the shipment of your device samples. You will receive a certification confirmation number upon successful completion of this step.

Step 7: Receive Shipping Approval

Following the successful completion of all the preceding steps, you will receive final approval from Google or your approved Google System Integrator to begin shipping your Find Hub-compatible accessory.
