Información sobre mapas del sitio
Los mapas del sitio son archivos que proporcionan información sobre las páginas, los videos y otros elementos de tu sitio, así como la relación entre ellos. Puedes usar un mapa del sitio para proporcionar información sobre tipos específicos de contenido de tus páginas, como videos, imágenes y noticias. Por ejemplo:
Una entrada de video en el mapa del sitio puede especificar la duración, la categoría y la clasificación de edad de un video.
Una entrada de imagen en el mapa del sitio puede incluir la ubicación de las imágenes que están en una página.

¿Necesito un mapa del sitio?
Si las páginas de tu sitio están vinculadas de forma correcta, generalmente, Google puede detectarlas casi todas.
La vinculación adecuada implica que se pueda acceder a todas las páginas que consideres importantes a través de algún tipo de navegación, ya sea el menú de tu sitio o los vínculos que hayas ubicado en páginas. Sin embargo, un mapa del sitio puede mejorar el rastreo de sitios más grandes o más complejos, o archivos más especializados.
