Before you can make supplemental feed calls with the Content API, you have to
create a supplemental feed in Merchant Center. Follow the instructions in
Create a feed
and make sure you select Content API as the feed source. However, the primary
feed that you modify with the supplemental feed can use any source, including
Google Sheets, scheduled fetch, direct upload, or Content API.
Retrieve IDs for supplemental feeds
After creating a supplemental feed, retrieve the feedId in Merchant Center so
that you can use it to make Content API calls.
