הגודל של הגורם המכיל שבו ממקמים את המודעה צריך להיות לפחות כמו הגודל של הבאנר. כל ריווח פנימי מקטין למעשה את הגודל של הקונטיינר. אם גודל הקונטיינר לא מתאים למודעת הבאנר, המודעה לא מוצגת והאזהרה הבאה נרשמת ביומן:
