S'appuyant sur l'unique enquête in situ LUCAS 2018 Copernicus, l'ensemble de données de 2018 est la première carte continentale des types de cultures avec une taille de pixel de 10 mètres pour l'UE, basée sur les observations du radar à synthèse d'ouverture S1A et S1B pour l'année 2018. L'ensemble de données de 2022 poursuit ce travail et repose sur les observations optiques S2 pour l'année 2022.
