A lo largo de los años, hemos introducido una serie de etiquetas y atributos de etiqueta para las extensiones de sitemaps de Google, concretamente las extensiones Imagen y Vídeo. La mayoría de estas etiquetas se añadieron para que los propietarios de sitios web pudieran enviar datos a la Búsqueda más fácilmente.
Tras evaluar el valor de las etiquetas de extensión de sitemaps de Google, hemos decidido desactivar oficialmente algunas etiquetas y atributos, y quitarlos de nuestra documentación. Las etiquetas obsoletas no afectarán a la indexación ni a las funciones de búsqueda después del 6 de agosto del 2022.
Si eres desarrollador de complementos de sitemaps o gestionas tus propios sitemaps, no tienes que hacer nada de momento; puedes dejar esas etiquetas y esos atributos como están. Más adelante, puede que Search Console muestre advertencias cuando se incluyan estas actualizaciones en las próximas versiones de esquema de las extensiones Imagen y Vídeo.

Al simplificar las extensiones de sitemaps, esperamos que también se reduzca la complejidad de tus códigos base y que los sitemaps estén menos desordenados en general.
