Earth Engine is introducing
noncommercial quota tiers to safeguard shared compute resources and ensure reliable performance for everyone. All noncommercial projects will need to select a quota tier by
April 27, 2026 or will use the Community Tier by default. Tier quotas will take effect for all projects (regardless of tier selection date) on
April 27, 2026.

Returns the length of the perimeter of the polygonal parts of the geometry of a given feature. The perimeter of multi geometries is the sum of the perimeters of their components.
| Usage | Returns | Feature.perimeter(maxError, proj) | Float |
| Argument | Type | Details | this: feature | Element | The feature from which the geometry is taken. |
maxError | ErrorMargin, default: null | The maximum amount of error tolerated when performing any necessary reprojection. |
proj | Projection, default: null | If specified, the result will be in the units of the coordinate system of this projection. Otherwise it will be in meters. |

[null, null,["Last updated 2023-10-06 UTC."],[],["Calculates the total perimeter length of a feature's polygonal geometry. For multi-geometries, it sums the perimeters of each component. The function `perimeter()` takes an optional `maxError` to control reprojection accuracy and a `proj` argument to specify the output's units (defaulting to meters). It returns a floating-point number representing the perimeter length. The `feature` is the target for calculation.\n"]]
