Scales an input number from a specified range [min, max] to [0, 1].
Values outside the initial [min, max] range are not restricted or changed by this scaling.
If the minimum and maximum values of the input range are the same, the function returns 0.
Scales the input so that the range of input values [min, max] becomes [0, 1]. Values outside the range are NOT clamped. If min == max, 0 is returned.
